About the Role

Job Description Summary

Provide support on a broad range of technical projects within Engine Dynamics team. Within this role, you will interact with a group of engineers with sound technical expertise in the area of Rotordynamics to solve some of the challenges that are present in our commercial engine platforms.

Job Description

- Provide technical assistance to other personnel assigned to support different legacy programs.

- Document technical data generated to substantiate the analytical results consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

- Execute with extensive guidance Finite Element analysis of structural systems to define and support the engine dynamics that meet business standards, practices and program requirements.

- Get a full understanding of Engine trending analysis method and the physics behind it, as you might be part of an effort to automate the process in a digital tool.

- Participate as presenter of project status

- Solve problems of limited scope and complexity regarding dynamic analysis or testing for different engine programs.

- Analyze engine vibe signatures and calculate balancing solutions to trim production and field returned engines.

- Prepare presentations and vibe trending reports to help find vibration issues on specific aircraft engines.

- Ensure full compliance with business standards, practices and procedures

Qualifications / Requirements

- Must be actively enrolled in a university within a minimum period of 6 months of remaining classes before graduating

- BS Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering student or similar background

- 30 available hours per week

- Basic knowledge of Mechanical Vibrations theory.

- Mechanical analysis skills.

- Programming skills

- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.

- Fundamental understanding of the design, test and analysis tools relevant to the function.

- Proficiency in English language communication

Desired Characteristics

- Knowledgeable in Mechanical Vibrations and Rotordynamics concepts.

- Knowledge in Python coding v3 or superior
