The Opportunity

We are currently seeking two Procurement & Supply Chain Analytics co-op students to join our Global Categories and Cross-Asset Procurement team in Toronto.

The role is hybrid and a 12 month-fixed term co-op position starting in September 2026. This posting is for an existing position vacancy.

As a Procurement & Supply Chain Analytics student, you will support the team through data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your experience and skills will focus on identifying tail spend optimization opportunities, supplier consolidation opportunities, contract visibility gaps, and procurement productivity improvements through spend analytics, benchmarking, and performance reporting. 

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Analyze procurement spend, supplier data, and purchasing trends to identify tail spend optimization, supplier rationalization, and savings opportunities.
  • Support the development of procurement KPIs, productivity metrics, dashboards, and leadership reporting.
  • Analyze transportation networks, freight spend, and logistics performance data to identify efficiency and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Support supplier relationship management programs, including supplier summits, supplier performance reviews, innovation sessions, and scorecard development.
  • Conduct market research, benchmarking, and competitive intelligence to support category strategies and sourcing initiatives.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve procurement processes through automation, AI-enabled solutions, analytics, and digital tools.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, dashboards, and recommendations for procurement and business leadership.

About You

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Business, Economics, IT, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.

Skills:

  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Comfort using AI-powered tools and a willingness to explore innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated interest in supply chain operations and procurement within the mining sector.
