Job Purpose:

Implements and executes the operational instructions and Oil Spill Response (OSR) / Hazmat emergency response plans in order to enable the delivery of seamless emergency response with minimal human, environmental and financial impact.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 Job Specific Accountabilities

 • Ensure anti-pollution equipment is deployed correctly including the use of anti-pollution oil dispersant sprayers and chemicals as appropriate.

• Follows and applies the procedures and work practices to meet site waste management plans and obligations.

• Selects oil spill response equipment according to supervisor’s instructions.

• Do the pre-operational checks of equipment by using manufacturer’s specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

 

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

Minimum Qualification

• Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field. Minimum

Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• 0-3 years of experience in a crisis and emergency-related field, preferably in a similar industry
