About the Role

New Challenge

Working Student / Intern – Office Management (all genders)
Location: Berlin (with home office options)

Working Hours: Part-time, approx. 20h/week (flexible, with the option to scale up during semester breaks) or full-time as an internship
Start Date: Immediately or by arrangement

About Us

Project Q is a European defence tech company. We develop integration infrastructure for modern security and defence ecosystems and connect sensors, unmanned systems, command and mission systems, and other capabilities for armed forces, security agencies, and critical infrastructure operators.

To do this, we rely on HYDRIS, our proprietary open-source integration and orchestration solution. HYDRIS brings together commercially available (COTS) technologies, data sources, and existing legacy systems into a single operational environment. Through open standards, AI-powered data processing, edge computing, and distributed operations, HYDRIS provides a vendor-neutral foundation for resilient and technologically sovereign operations.

Your Role
Want a role that's truly your own? You'll help keep our office running smoothly and reliably - and get the chance to roll up your sleeves on event planning along the way. But this is so much more than keeping the lights on: we're inviting you to bring your ownership and creativity, to shape the space, and to have a real hand in the mood, the energy, and the culture in the office. When people walk in, we want them to feel it.

Whether you're looking to stay with us for the longer term and grow into your own areas of responsibility, or you want to gain hands-on experience during an internship, we're looking for someone who likes to keep things running without being asked twice.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support and gradually take over day-to-day office operations - supplies, deliveries, equipment, and keeping the workspace running smoothly
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers, from gathering quotes to comparing offers
  • Help build and maintain internal processes and documentation
  • Handle recurring office tasks reliably and flag what needs doing before it becomes urgent
  • Get involved in the planning and preparation of events, and our presence at industry gatherings - a chance to take on visible, hands-on project work
  • Shape the atmosphere and culture of the office - bring your ideas

Your Profile
  • A genuine hands-on mentality and a strong sense of responsibility - you take ownership and run with tasks rather than waiting for instructions
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, comfortable juggling several parallel workstreams
  • Currently enrolled as a student, whether you're looking for a working student role you can grow into over the longer term, or an internship as part of your studies
  • Excellent German and English, plus solid MS Excel skills
  • First experience in office management or a startup/early-stage setting is a plus
  • An interest in the defence or public-sector space is a plus

We Offer
  • Be part of our growth story and help build a leading technology company
  • A varied and responsible role in a dynamic company
  • Flat hierarchies and a pleasant working environment
  • Opportunities for professional and personal development
  • Flexible working hours and remote work options
  • Attractive compensation and additional benefits

Have we sparked your interest? Then we look forward to receiving your CV, including your earliest possible start date.
