About The Company
LAS Art Foundation works with visionary artists to give form to future imaginaries. We commission exhibitions, performances and experimental formats which bring new perspectives to the critical subjects of our times, from artificial intelligence, gaming and quantum computing to ecology and biotechnology.
About the Role

Our programme comprises installations and performances, as well as educational programming, publications and research projects. Curiosity drives us to continually reimagine the role of an arts institution as one that shapes and evolves with our collective futures. 

To support our team, we are looking for a Curatorial Intern to join the team ideally starting in September for a 3-month fixed period. 

WHAT YOU DO

  • Curatorial research tasks include ongoing artist, exhibition research and travel itineraries. 
  • Support with the organisation and execution of events, including running guest list and logistics (this may include agreed work times in the evening or on weekends). 
  • Support of the team in the office and at event sites (e.g. receiving and sending out deliveries). 
  • Translation of curatorial texts from EN to DE and vice versa.
  • Support senior team members with their travel planning. 
  • Preparation and formatting of slide presentations. Maintenance of LAS visitor email account. 
  • Updating tracking documents.
  • Researching exhibition materials, including accessibility initiatives.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Are interested in art, technology and science, and emerging ways of making and presenting art. 
  • Speak and write English and German at C1 level/fluently. 
  • Are organised and work detail-oriented. have experience in working with GSuite/Google.

  • Insight into projects at the intersection of art, science and technology – and into the work of outstanding international artists. 
  • In consultation with your team, you can work 2-days per week remotely.

LAS works with artists, thinkers and institutions around the globe to catalyse ideas and develop innovative projects and experiences. We explore topics ranging from quantum computing and outer space to artificial intelligence, ecology and biotechnology - illuminating the intersections between art, science and the latest technology.
