Job Overview: 

The NEC Marketing Department is seeking a creative, curious, and motivated student to join our team as a Digital Content Intern. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating content, staying on top of social media trends, and telling engaging stories through video, photography, and digital platforms.


Working alongside the Assistant Director of Marketing, Communications & Digital Engagement, you'll gain experience developing content, supporting NEC's social media strategy, and helping showcase campus life through engaging and authentic storytelling.


The position can begin 9/30/2026 and is compensated at $15.00 per hour.

Essential Functions:

  • Create engaging social media content for NEC's digital platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Research emerging social media trends with a focus on short-form video, Reels, and TikTok.
  • Assist with planning, capturing, and editing photo and video content during campus events, performances, and student activities.
  • Support the Marketing team with additional projects or initiatives as needed.
  • Schedule: Flexible, 10–15 hours per week, including occasional evenings or weekends for event coverage.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in social media, digital marketing, communications, or content creation.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn) and current content trends.
  • Creative eye for visual storytelling through photography, video, and short-form content.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
