About The Company
Millions of people in India make a living collecting,
sorting, recycling and selling materials that someone else has thrown away. In India, waste-pickers provide the only form of solid waste collection, providing widespread public benefits and environmental sustainability. While recognition for their contributions is growing in some places, they often face social stigma as well as deplorable living and working conditions.
At the Plastics for Change India Foundation, we provide dignified and sustainable economic opportunities for the urban poor and improve their quality of life through social interventions.
About the Role
Program Management:
● Closely work with the waste-collectors community and scrap shops for their overall
social and economic development.
● Work towards effective program delivery management to assist and support day-
to-day community interventions activities w.r.t social and financial inclusion,
health, nutrition and education programs, supplies distribution, stakeholder
development and management, networking and follow-up activities.
● Manage and groom a team of project field workers, assigning KPI’s and
monitoring them.
● Coordinate with local authorities, government agencies, and other
stakeholders to ensure benefits are implemented.
● Support in the preparation of the program logical framework, timeline, M & E
framework and budget.
Reporting and Documentation:
● Log KPI data into our application to monitor performance.
● Ensuring timely, concise and accurate reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
on prescribed formats and applications.
General Responsibilities:
● Ensure professionalism at all times and demonstrate exemplary prioritization of
workload skills.
● Ensure that the PFC policies, SOPs and protocols are being adhered to at all levels
of the company.
● Ensure strict adherence to data confidentiality and security.
● Willingness to travel frequently across India, sometimes at short notice,
including other places as per need of the project or company.
● Work closely with the PFC team and Partners.

exhaustive list of tasks. Flexibility is required and the incumbent is expected to carry
out any other related duties that are necessary for the optimum functioning of the
company as a whole within the employee skills and abilities whenever a need is
pointed out, becomes apparent or as reasonably instructed.
Requirements
● Any graduate with Community development/ social work experience.
● MSW / MA in Development will be preferred.
● 0-2 years experience in program management (community development)in the social
service sector.
● Experience working with the informal sector workforce.
● Good understanding of social and environmental concepts and methods.
● Experience of being part of any program/project management or field work would be
an added advantage.
● Engagement, plastics recycling, and waste management will be helpful.
● Fluency in English, Tamil languages.
Skills :
● Good interpersonal skills and ability to work.
● Open to new challenges.
● Good data management, documentation and reporting skills.
● Good computer skills – MS Office and Working on CRM tools.
● Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
● Eye for detail.
● Able to learn new systems, methods, processes and procedures.
● Able to meet deadlines and produce quality outputs.
● Proactive and self-motivated.
● Humility, honesty, transparency, integrity and the ability to maintain
confidentiality.
