Internship - Facility Operation & Maintenance

The student, as part of the Facility Maintenance team and under the guidance of an assigned mentor, will support FM operation , FM Dashboard improvement and  assist Facility Engineering projects.

Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role

• Facilities Operations Support: Learn facility systems and support the operations team in sustaining and maintaining stable, efficient facility performance.
• Dashboard Development & Improvement: Study the Facility Management (FM) dashboard application and contribute to FM dashboard design and usability improvements.
• Project Execution Support: Assist engineers in facility engineering project execution, including coordination, tracking, and documentation.  
• Alarm Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Support facility alarm analysis, perform basic troubleshooting, and propose improvement actions to reduce recurring issues.
• Internship learning outcomes:
• Facilities Management Fundamentals: Understand the roles and responsibilities of the Facility Operations & Maintenance (FOM) team in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient building operations.  
• BMS/FM Monitoring Exposure: Gain hands-on experience using and enhancing Building Management Systems (BMS) and Facility Monitoring Dashboard platforms to support daily facility operations.  
• Energy & Sustainability Awareness: Develop understanding of energy efficiency, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives within facility management.  
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strengthen analytical thinking through root-cause analysis, data interpretation, and participation in improvement projects.

Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed 

• Educational Background: On track to attain a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic / Mechanical / Computer Engineering / Material Science (or related fields).
• Productivity Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Programming Skills: Knowledge of Python is an advantage.  
• Mindset & Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, positive mindset, and willingness to learn in a hands-on operational environment.
