About the Role

Get paid to learn CNC machining while helping make real aerospace parts.


As a CNC Machinist Intern at Acutec, you will work alongside experienced machinists and learn how advanced CNC machines turn raw material into precision parts. This is a hands-on internship where you will be part of the team, not sitting around watching someone else work.

You will learn how to:

  • Read blueprints, work instructions, and process specifications 
  • Load and operate CNC machines 
  • Set up and run jobs with guidance from experienced machinists 
  • Inspect parts and use precision measuring tools 
  • Identify part defects or machine issues 
  • Handle aerospace parts according to quality procedures 
  • Communicate job progress and issues with the team 

This paid fall internship can work around your college schedule and may lead to continued part-time work or a full-time career after graduation.

Requirements


  • Currently enrolled in a college or technical program 
  • Interested in machining, engineering, manufacturing, or aerospace 
  • Willing to learn and work with your hands 
  • Able to follow instructions and pay attention to detail 
  • Dependable and able to work as part of a team 
  • Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Previous machining experience is helpful but not required 
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position and follow all safety procedures
