About the Role

Intern - Autonomation 

Based at Nirmaana Katunayaka

The Activewear Value Stream delivers high-performance sportswear and athleisure solutions designed for technical functionality, durability and everyday versatility— serving sports, lifestyle and performance segments. With a strong focus on innovation, MAS is advancing wearable technology that tracks fitness and workout analytics while blending advanced sportswear with fashion and aesthetic appeal. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical, electrical, and electronic automation systems to support manufacturing operations.
  • Support the fabrication, assembly, testing, and commissioning of automation equipment and production machinery.
  • Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs under the guidance of senior engineers to improve machine functionality and process efficiency.
  • Prepare and update mechanical designs, 3D models, and technical drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues to minimize production downtime.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Degree in Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical
  • Experience in PLC and HMI Programs
