Job Summary:

Responsible for supporting various projects and tasks which further the development and implementation of continuous improvement in all areas of the facility.

Major Responsibilities & Authority:

    The individual must be willing and capable of developing, modifying, and building machinery that adheres to Pursuit Aerospace - Cleveland’s numbering system, while ensuring operator safety.

    Responsible for rapidly prototyping and producing right size production ready equipment throughout the shop.

    Capable of utilizing machinery and materials within the shop to create and modify custom components.

    Capable of working with all areas of the organization; to include Operators, Engineers, Leads, Quality, EH&S, and Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO) team.

    Must utilize Kaizen tools to support manufacturing processes improvements and flow lines.

    Learn to interpret blueprints, dimensions, symbols, and geometric tolerances based on customer specifications.

    Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Support and participate in various roles throughout the shop such as Kaizen and 3S workshops, including performing flow line operations.

    Travel to other Pursuit Aerospace sites may be offered and/or required.

Minimum Requirements:

    Interest in mechanical and/or electrical assembly.

    Self-motivated with a positive attitude, resourcefulness, and adaptability.

    Basic understanding of mechanical components and machine design.

    Must have a high school diploma and be actively enrolled in an accredited University.

    Ability to work independently, as well as perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment:

    Primarily shop floor environment.

Equipment Used:

    Computer, gaging, fixturing, machinery, and hand tools.

Additional Comments:

    Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques knowledge preferred.

    CAD skills is preferred, but not required.

    Familiarity with requirements for aerospace component manufacturing that includes having knowledge of aerospace fabrications, machining, laser technology, welding, coatings, and heat treatment is also preferred, but not required.
