Role overview:  
You’ll lead initiatives aimed at improving organisational efficiency and effectiveness, while developing and implementing strategies that foster a culture of continuous improvement.

This role reports to the Business Improvement Manager in the Fan Blade Singapore (FBSG) manufacturing plant.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Applying industrial engineering concepts and methodologies to drive Value Stream Mapping and business improvements
  • Enhancing standard work combinations and standard work charts to improve operator productivity, and recommend improvement actions to meet productivity goals
  • Assisting the Business Improvement Manager in strategising, setting targets, and designing platforms to track and monitor key performance indicators in the plant, supporting the business deployment plan
  • Assisting the Business Improvement Manager in strategising and implementing strategic enablers to drive business performance
  • Facilitating plant-wide business improvement projects, with opportunities to engage with employees across all departments, including production leaders, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers and manufacturing services

Who we’re looking for: 

  • Engineering student (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, etc.)  Open to any discipline
  • This role requires someone who is analytical, inquisitive, positive, and has a strong desire to constantly pursue excellence
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP), SQL, Python, or Power BI
  • A mindset that always asks “Why?” and seeks ways to improve manufacturing processes by eliminating the 8 wastes of Lean
  • Ability to engage and interact with all levels of the workforce to inspire change
