About the Role

Location: Torrance, CA (Onsite)
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time (Flexible Around Class Schedules)

VectorUSA is seeking a Finance & Accounting Intern to join our team in Torrance. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a career in accounting, finance, business, or economics to gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals in a growing technology company.

You'll be exposed to core accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting processes, and business operations while developing practical skills that can help jumpstart your career after graduation.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Support invoice processing and payment tracking
  • Help reconcile accounts and financial transactions
  • Maintain accurate financial records and spreadsheets
  • Assist with month-end closing activities
  • Support budgeting and financial reporting projects
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
  • Organize and maintain accounting documentation
  • Participate in special projects that support business operations

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a community college, college, or university
  • Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Completed at least two semesters of coursework or currently enrolled as a Sophomore or higher
  • Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, or Corporate Finance
  • Experience with Excel functions, pivot tables, or financial analysis
  • Previous work experience, internship, or student leadership involvement
