Job Overview

As an entry level Trainee of Imaging Geophysicist, you will be trained to do the following:

·       Understand the basics of the seismic processing flow and build strong background.

·       Learn to build 3D subsurface images using basic mathematical and physics concepts (e.g., inversion algorithms, wave equations, signal processing).

·       Use technical knowledge to solve simple geophysical issues, learn imaging techniques, and manage time effectively.

·       Apply geoscience principles, to do testing and focusing finding the optimum results under TL supervision.

·       Handle specific tasks in imaging projects with guidance.

·       Manage to use different software’s’ to support the processing work, tests and QCs.

·       Perform quality control checks and report issues to Team/Project Leaders.

·       Set up, run, and monitor processing tasks.

·       Gain practical experience to prepare for the Final Year Project, ideal for students who haven't completed their FYP.

·       Do E-Learning trainings and attend the classes scheduled.

·       Attend and coordinate client meetings and present the results of the tests done.

Qualifications

·       Undergraduate BSc in Geosciences.

·       Able to apply broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to the completion of moderately complex assignments

·       Entry to Intermediate level professional contributor on a project or specialty work team

·       Confidence in using available software, tools, and techniques in more advanced applications

·       Ability to plan and organize work tasks for efficiency
