Description
Elekta is a global solutions company headquartered in Sweden with a long-standing commitment to advancing radiation therapy. We are seeking a detail-oriented and fast-learning Data Processing Intern to support data organization, annotation, quality assurance, and analysis activities for medical imaging and radiation therapy R&D projects. You will work closely with algorithm engineers, software engineers, and clinical experts on real-world development projects, providing high-quality data support for AI algorithm development and product innovation.Responsibilities
• Collect, organize, and standardize medical imaging, clinical, and other R&D-related data.• Perform data annotation, data cleaning, and quality assurance activities according to project requirements and specifications.
• Assist in building and maintaining datasets to ensure completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
• Create and maintain documentation, operating procedures, and guidelines related to data processing activities.
• Support the R&D team in data analysis and reporting.
• Assist the algorithm team in data preparation activities prior to model training.

NARelevant Knowledge, skills and competencies
Required• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Medical Informatics, or a related field.
• Basic programming skills in Python, with experience using libraries such as Pandas and NumPy for data processing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis.
• Familiar with common data formats such as CSV, Excel, and JSON.
• Available to work at least 4 days per week on a full-time basis.
Preferred
• Experience with data annotation, data analysis, or machine learning projects.
• Background in medical imaging, healthcare AI, or computer vision.
• Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Jupyter Notebook, or similar tools.
• Good written and reading proficiency in English.
