What you’ll build

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship, it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria (office attendance 3 times a week is mandatory)

Expected start date: asap

Student status is mandatory

  • Have the unique opportunity to design, develop and deliver core experiences of service

  • Strong communication skills that include the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment working with multiple teams across various geographies
  • Solid programming fundamentals in at least one language (Go preferred but not required — just the drive to learn it).

In Heimdall team we build AutomaticD, SAP's internal automation platform that powers CI/CD onboarding and toolchain provisioning across the company. Under the hood it's a fleet of Kubernetes operators (written in Go) that integrate the tools engineers use every day — GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Jira, Artifactory, and more. AutomatiCD is the engine behind the Hyperspace Portal, and it is an inner source: open for any SAP team to build on.

Our culture is built on curiosity, innovation, and collaboration. We believe great ideas can come from anywhere and we turn those ideas into reality through fast experimentation, data-driven iteration, and teamwork across functions and geographies.

You’ll thrive here if you’re someone who loves to solve complex problems, think creatively, and learn continuously. You’ll work alongside passionate engineers and designers who value both technical excellence and user empathy. Every project is an opportunity to grow your skills, test new technologies, and contribute to solutions that have a real, global impact.

What makes this team special? The combination of cutting-edge technology and strong mentorship. You’ll be part of a group that encourages you to explore, ask questions, and take ownership of your ideas — while supporting you every step of the way.
