This internship runs Tuesday, 09/08/26 – end of December (12-16 weeks) and requires 20–40 hours per week.

Job Accountabilities:

•  Complete onboarding and learn the project scope, selected processes, success measures, stakeholders, and required confidentiality expectations.

•  Collect and validate process, labor, routing, material, and cost data with Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Quality partners.

•  Conduct time studies for assigned manufacturing processes and summarize cycle-time, labor, and efficiency findings.

•  Prepare a margin analysis with Finance for the selected product or process scope and identify key cost drivers.

•  Develop or improve process controls, including critical control points, data requirements, measurement methods, and ownership.

•  Review ERP BOM and routing configurations, document gaps, and support approved corrections with the ERP Administrator or IT.

•  Create or update work instructions for safety, quality, and standardized work, obtaining owner approval before release.

•  Provide engineering project support through data collection, analysis, documentation, testing, and follow-up actions.

•  Deliver a final report and presentation summarizing results, recommendations, measurable impact, and handoff items.

Job Specifications:

Years’ Experience: No prior professional experience required. Exposure to engineering, manufacturing, process improvement, cost analysis, ERP systems, data collection, or team-based projects is helpful.

Skills:

•  Strong analytical thinking, organization, attention to detail, and ability to validate data and reconcile discrepancies.

•  Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to document processes and present findings to technical and business audiences.

•  Willingness to learn ERP systems, BOMs, routings, labor and cost data, process controls, and manufacturing workflows.

•  Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Finance, Operations, Quality, Production, and IT partners.

•  Curiosity and initiative to ask questions, identify process gaps, understand cost drivers, and recommend practical improvements.

•  Ability to follow confidentiality, safety, quality, and approval requirements when working with company and customer information.
