About the Role

Your New Role and Team

Sanctuary, a world leader in building physical AI for general-purpose robots, is looking to hire a Technical Product Management Intern for an eight-month term starting in September 2026. Reporting to the Senior Technical Product Manager, you will collaborate with technical and customer-facing teams to identify and document product requirements, support development planning, and connect technical implementation with customer, market, and business needs. You will contribute to projects spanning product definition, process development, and technical coordination, gaining exposure to the full product lifecycle. This internship is intended for a final-year student or recent graduate and may lead to consideration for a full-time position following successful completion of the term.

Our Success Criteria

  • Coordinate robot testing, including task selection, design collaboration, scheduling, and performance tracking, and help coordinate customer or partner site visits.

  • Analyze testing and operational data to identify insights that improve product performance and development processes.

  • Organize and maintain product requirements within requirements management tools, ensuring accurate documentation, traceability, and alignment across teams, and support training and adoption of these tools.

  • Support the translation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of product development and management processes and tools to ensure consistency and clarity across teams.

  • Lead and maintain requirements management, ensuring traceability across programs, alignment with product objectives, and effective collaboration across engineering and testing teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, with an expected graduation date within 12 months following completion of the co-op term, or recently graduated from such a program.

  • Demonstrated interest in product management, combining an understanding of how technology is developed, tested, and brought to market with the ability to connect technical problem-solving to customer and market needs.

  • Familiarity with product development and/or project management methodologies.

  • Proficient in data analysis, research, and modelling to support decision-making.

  • Comfortable using productivity and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

  • Ability to assist with the design or modification of simple test fixtures or jigs as needed to support testing and troubleshooting activities is considered an asset.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand technical systems and translate them into clear product requirements.

  • Comfortable discussing technical trade-offs and understanding how engineering choices influence product outcomes.

  • Highly organized with excellent time-management and prioritization skills.

  • Aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal, able to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating across engineering and commercial teams.

  • Curious and motivated to learn how technology becomes a scalable product.

Traits:

  • A strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability, both individually and as part of a team.

  • Positive, solutions-oriented attitude with a willingness to do what it takes to solve complex problems.

  • Empathetic listener with strong collaboration and conflict resolution skills.

About Sanctuary

Founded in 2018, Sanctuary builds humanoid robots and a novel control system for them that integrates symbolic logic and reasoning with data-driven robot foundation models. We use our robots to collect vision, audio, touch, and proprioception data from the perspective of the robot while they perform real-world work tasks. We use that data to train multimodal robot foundation models. Because our systems are vertically integrated, we can design, deploy, and refine at scale. Our mission is to create the world's first human-like intelligence in general-purpose robots.
