Internship - Test Stand Development for Tire Manufacturing (m/f/d) - REF98008V

The Circularity and Innovative Technology department at our Hannover-Stöcken site is responsible, among other things, for the investigation, evaluation, and development of innovative tire manufacturing processes. We support our partners in turning their ideas for new products and manufacturing technologies into reality by providing a creative environment and the necessary methods and tools. We are looking for a full time intern (m/f/diverse), starting in September 2026 for at least 5 months of internship.

Your Tasks:

• Concept development, design, and engineering of test fixtures and experimental equipment
• Manufacturing components using 3D printing technologies
• Assembly and commissioning of mechanical and pneumatic systems and subassemblies
• Execution of tests and experiments, including documentation of results
• Continuous optimization and improvement of test fixtures and equipment

• Ongoing studies in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, ideally with a focus on Design Engineering and Product Development
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor for 3D design and technical documentation
• Experience with 3D printing technologies and additive manufacturing processes
• Basic practical knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical components, including assembly and integration
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Good command of German and English, written and spoken
• Strong interest in technical solutions, engineering challenges, and emerging technologies
• Creative mindset with a curious and innovative approach to problem-solving
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in an international environment
