Role overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern (3 to 6 months) to join our project team. This internship offers hands-on experience in sourcing, purchasing and supplier management for engineering projects. You’ll work closely with order management and project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.

What you’ll be doing:

  •  Assisting in sourcing and evaluating suppliers to meet project requirements and budget constraints
  • Drafting vendor comparison tables in accordance with company procurement policies
  • Supporting the preparation and issuance of purchase orders and contracts in SAP HANA
  • Maintaining records and registers of all issued purchase orders, categorising them by WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) elements and filing them in the appropriate server folders
  • Collaborating with project teams to understand material specifications and project timelines
  • Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and track industry trends
  • Participating in supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions
  • Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and inventory levels
  • Monitoring supplier performance and addressing delivery or quality-related issues
  • Supporting compliance with company procurement policies and standards
  • Reviewing external vendor invoices and following up on supporting documentation to ensure audit compliance
  • Supporting the processing of goods receipts for all vendors
  • Supporting procurement processes, including drafting NDAs, managing KYP processes and registering new vendors
  • Supporting the preparation of commercial invoices, packing lists, and delivery notes

Who we’re looking for: 

  • Students pursuing a Higher Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Familiarity with ERP/ SAP HANA 4 systems and procurement software
  • Basic understanding of contract management and negotiation principles
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance
