What you will do

The opportunity: 
We are seeking talented and energetic candidates to join our Advisory, Management Consulting team as an Intern/Co-op Consultant working in our Montreal office starting in January 2027 to April 2027. Positions are available in the following service lines:

  • Supply Chain 
  • Banking, Capital Markets, and Payments (BCM) 
  • Data, Analytics and Automation (DAA) 
  • IT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture 
  • People and Change (P&C)

Customer 

The KPMG Customer Team creates best-in-class digitally enabled customer experiences (CX) as part of our clients’ wider organizational strategy. We operate across seven key service domains: CX design, growth strategy, digital advisory, e-commerce advisory, innovation, and contact center advisory. Our projects are about understanding strategy, technology, design, and processes through the lens of digital experiences. We would love to hear from individuals with experience or interest in helping clients reshape their business around their customers and enabling truly connected and profitable enterprise.  

 

Operations 

The Operations team at KPMG supports clients in the Financial Services sector (Banking, Wealth & Asset Management, Insurance, Private Equity, Pensions), the Public Sector and the Technology, Media and Telecommunication sectors through a range of services: strategic planning, Target Operating Model (TOM) design, process improvement/redesign, cost optimization, value realization, and accounting/regulatory change programs. We are looking for individuals that bring experience or interest in working on transformation and projects from planning to execution. We want to hear from individuals that want to develop a broad skillset that will allow them to perform current situation assessments, as well as visioning/target state design, develop roadmaps and support implementations. 

 

Supply Chain

In the face of evolving technological, economic, and regulatory environments, organisations across various sectors share a critical need: effective supply chain management. Our Supply Chain team collaborates with clients to develop robust strategies that drive corporate growth, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver distinctive value to their customers. We are seeking individuals who possess a keen interest in the intricacies of supply chain design and management, and who can contribute to strategic business initiatives aimed at generating and sustaining measurable value throughout the entire supply chain, from suppliers to end customers. 

 

Banking Capital Markets (BCM) 

KPMG’s Banking and Capital Markets (BCM) Practice enables our clients in the banking, capital markets and payments industries to uncover and capitalize on new opportunities. We support a wide range of banks, credit unions, fintechs, payment providers, and other financial services organizations in their pursuit of achieving strategic objectives. BCM is a collaborative team of highly seasoned specialists from diverse fields such as banking, capital markets, payments, banking technology, and finance transformation. Our clients look to us for expertise in identifying, quantifying, and delivering complex organizational change required to grow, innovate, compete, and remain resilient in an ever-evolving marketplace. We would love to hear from individuals who want to specialise in solving problems specific to the banking/capital markets industries, and that will help the team create value through data and technology enabled change, product and operating strategy, as well as new business models & services.

   

Data, Analytics, and Automation (DAA) 

Our team, specialized in Data, Analytics, and Automation, undertakes various projects related to business intelligence and data engineering, which may include evaluating current practices, developing strategies for business intelligence and data engineering, creating roadmaps, dashboards, and performance indicators, designing and validating data models, as well as performing data analysis to facilitate timely decision-making, and more. We leverage cutting-edge technologies to renew operational models, innovate in a competitive environment, and reshape the customer experience. We are seeking candidates with experience and a strong interest in innovation, data analysis and governance, technology, process optimization, computer sciences, and application development.

 

IT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture 

The IT strategy team at KPMG advises clients on how new technology will impact their business and delivers innovative end-to-end digital transformation. We work with digital and functional leaders across industries and sectors to define their vision for digital transformation, develop tailored technology strategies, align with IT assets to be more customer centric, and create and execute implementation plans that drive business value. We want to hear from individuals with experience and/or a clear passion for technology. 

 

People & Change (P&C) 

In the Talent and Change team, we help private and public organizations succeed in major transformations by aligning people, culture, and ways of working with their ambitions. Our mission: support our clients in anticipating changes in their professions, developing the skills of tomorrow, and building high-performing and inspiring work environments. If you enjoy solving problems, innovating, and working collaboratively, you’ll have the opportunity to design agile organizations, lead impactful change projects, develop training and development paths for talent, and contribute to major HR and cultural transformations.

 

Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) 

Our team works with finance functions to empower them to become more insightful and true business partners.  This includes determining appropriate enterprise business measures, planning and forecasting integrated business outcomes, analyzing and reporting business scenarios and results, and ultimately delivering the insight needed to drive enhanced business performance. We are looking for team members with experience or interest in financial planning and analysis, with a particular focus on implementing technology solutions to enable these processes. 

 

Finance Transformation   

An effective finance function needs to be aligned to the business strategy and should provide agile financial analysis and insight to support corporate decision making, while also meeting legal and regulatory requirements as a given. With a global network of professionals working in KPMG member firms around the world, Finance Transformation collaborates closely with CFOs and other finance leaders to help maximize the finance function's performance and empower them to become insightful business partners.  We focus on a variety of areas surrounding our “Finance of the Future” vision to drive strategy and implementation across finance operations optimization, target operating model redesign, financial technology transformation, and regulatory compliance transformation.  

 

 


What you bring to the role

 

  • You are enrolled in a university degree program (we will be considering candidates from a spectrum of programs such as Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Commerce, Arts, etc.) 
  • You are a highly motivated individual, enthusiastic about taking on a variety of challenges and opportunities 
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal  
  • You have a strong academic record  
  • You have the ability to work independently without supervision  
  • You have strong problem solving and analytical abilities, as well as a proven track record of successfully dealing with competing priorities and deadlines under pressure  
  • You have a strong sense of personal accountability  
  • You have an entrepreneurial drive, and are a creative problem solver
