A Finance Intern to work closely with the Lead Accountant and Bookkeeper to gain hands on experience at Albany Bakeries Sasolburg

  • Financial Data Management: Entering transactions, maintaining financial records, and updating databases or spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial information
  • Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Analysis and Forecasting: Conducting variance analysis, trend analysis, and ratio analysis to assess financial performance, as well as supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Reconciliation and Compliance: Reconciling bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, and assisting with audits or compliance reviews
  • Project Support: Participating in ad-hoc projects, special assignments, and process improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency
  • Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Despatch, Maintenance and Distribution, to coordinate activities and exchange information
  • Software and Tools: Using Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and other financial tools to process data, create models, and support reporting
