More about the role


This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as an Industrial Engineering Intern in Boisbriand with Signify, the world leader in lighting.  

  • Assist the Project Manager with various improvement projects, the integration of new production equipment, and workplace health and safety activities.
  • Participate in the implementation of efficient and functional work cells and establish work methods that support their implementation.
  • Use LEAN tools to identify opportunities and propose improvements to production processes.
  • Create detailed drawings showing dimensions, views, and other data required for production.
  • Participate in the study and implementation of quality best practices (office and manufacturing environments).

More about you

While we appreciate all applicants, we believe the following experience and skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Currently pursuing a university degree in Mechanical Engineering or Operations and Logistics Engineering.
  • College diploma (DEC) in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is considered an asset.
  • Hands-on experience with LEAN tools and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SolidWorks. Knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong French communication skills, both written and verbal.

Internship Duration: September - December 2026 or January – April 2027

Salary: $22.45 - $27.85 per hour

This internship has the potential to lead to a permanent position with Signify.

  • Assister le gestionnaire de projet dans les différents projets d’amélioration, d’intégration de nouveaux équipements de production et dans les activités de santé sécurité au travail.
  • Participer à l'implantation de cellules de travail efficaces et fonctionnelles et mettre en place les méthodes de travail supportant cette implantation
  • Utiliser les outils du LEAN afin d’identifier des opportunités et proposer des améliorations des processus de production
  • Exécuter des dessins de détails indiquant les dimensions, les plans de vue ainsi que d'autres données utiles à la mise en production
  • Participer à l’étude et à l’application des meilleures pratiques qualités (bureau / usine)

À propos de vous

Bien que nous appreciions apprecions toutes les candidatures, nous croyons que les expériences et compétences suivantes vous permettront de réussir dans ce rôle :

  • En cours d'obtention d'un universitaire diplôme universitaire en génie mécanique ou génie des opérations et de la logistique
  • DEC en génie mécanique ou industriel un atout
  • Avoir une expérience pratique avec les outils LEAN
  • Bonne connaissance de Word, Excel, Powerpoint et Solidwork. La connaissance d’Autocad est un atout.
  • Bonne connaissance des procédés de fabrications
  • Bonne communication en français (écrit et verbal)

Durée du stage: Septembre à décembre 2026 ou Janvier - avril 2027

Salaire: $22,45 - $27,85
