Job Summary: In this role, you'll support a wide range of communications, branding, and stakeholder engagement efforts through LinkedIn. You’ll use design and visual tools to draft communications of Texas PSF’s mission and impact in clear, compelling ways. In addition to tracking important media activity and trending topics, you’ll also help create content showcasing the company’s brand, vision, and accomplishments.
Duties/ Responsibilities: Additional duties may be assigned at the manager’s discretion, upon business need, or as assigned on the corporate Strategic Plan.
Social Media Management - Draft posts for LinkedIn to promote engagement and the Texas PSF brand. Assist with taking photos and drafting messaging to engage with key stakeholders. Ensure all posts align with Texas PSF brand voice, values, and professional standards through use of the Social Media Policy. Respond to basic engagement (likes, shares), and flag sensitive comments or inquiries to COO and Government Relations Director.
PR Tracking & Monitoring - Track industry news, competitor activity, and trending topics relevant to finance and investments to keep business apprised of important developments. Monitor Texas PSF or employee mentions in the media to maintain and enhance public relations. Collaborate with Investment leadership, Government Relations, and Legal to ensure consistent messaging.
Content Creation – Create short and long form video content for use in All Hands meetings, LinkedIn, and public website, covering topics such as volunteerism, company culture, relevant market trends, and more. Edit and manage various media content using tools such as Canva.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled undergraduate (rising junior or senior) or graduate student majoring in Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
Strong portfolio showcasing design experience.
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of social media platforms like LinkedIn and YouTube, analytics and scheduling tools such as LinkedIn analytics, and content creation tools such as Canva.
Exhibits a strong work ethic, is dependable, and works effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent and creative problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in public service, economic policy, education funding, or communications related to finance and government.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and work at a desk and computer for extended periods. Work requires mobility around the worksite routinely to carry out duties. This position may periodically require the ability to lift, carry, move and/or set up equipment and materials that weigh up to 15 pounds.
Travel/Schedule Requirements:
Domestic and/or international travel up to 5%
Hybrid office/telework schedule.
Ability to work/travel outside of normal business hours.
