What You Will Do:

  • Responsibilities may include working on tasks related to commercial engines, military engines or both depending on business need.
  • This position provides challenging assignments that support the development of new measurement techniques and diagnostic capabilities used to verify the structural integrity of gas turbine engines.
  • Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include sensor development, hardware/software design and assembly, bench testing, electrical system design, algorithm development, instrumentation installations, test monitoring, data processing and report generation.


What You Will Learn:

  • Candidates hired will begin their first 2.5 years at Pratt & Whitney as part of the Engineering Development Program (EDP). This program consists of three rotations that are 12 months - 9 months - 9 months in duration and typically occur in three distinct disciplines within the hiring department. The intent of our EDP is to offer breadth & depth in various technical experiences through challenging positions available in our organizations. This program will help expand your professional and technical competencies that will serve as the foundation for exceptional contributions that you will make at Pratt & Whitney.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering obtained by start date. 
  • Experience with electronic circuit and harness design, assembly, and testing
  • Familiar with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters
  • Experience with software programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C/C++ and LabVIEW
  • Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Unigraphics/NX

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Previous engineering intern experience at an aerospace company
  • Experience with testing, manufacturing, and technical group projects
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
