Job Title: Software Developer Intern
About ABC
Analytics Business Centre (ABC) is a SaaS and technology company building and implementing digital business solutions. We also operate a digital payments gateway, alongside business software, automation, systems implementation and technology services. We're looking for ambitious, recent graduates ready to gain real-world experience in a fast-moving technology business.
Purpose of the Role
The Software Developer Intern will support ABC's engineering team in building, testing and maintaining software applications, with exposure to real SaaS products and a live digital payments environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of web and software applications
- Write clean, maintainable code
- Test and debug applications
- Work with APIs and third-party integrations
- Support payment gateway integrations
- Work with databases
- Use Git and version control
- Support existing SaaS products
- Prepare technical documentation
- Participate in product and engineering meetings
- Investigate and resolve software issues
Requirements
Education Requirements
- Recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field from a recognised university or tertiary institution
- Previous full-time employment is not required; relevant academic projects, personal projects, hackathons or internships are an advantage
Technical Skills
- Understanding of programming fundamentals
- Exposure to JavaScript, Python, PHP or similar languages is an advantage
- Familiarity with APIs, databases, web development or cloud technologies is a plus
- Exposure to payment systems and Git/version control is beneficial but not required
- Willingness to learn ABC's technology stack

- Documentation produced is clear and usable by the team
- Shows increasing confidence working with APIs, databases or integrations

Strong performers may progress toward roles such as Junior Software Developer, Software Developer, or Product/Engineering Support Specialist within ABC.
