This requisition is for an RTX intern returning for an internship in 2027.

What You Will Do

The software engineering intern will assist with the design development of embedded products. The software engineering intern will be provided with a mentor during developed, designed and tested according to the objectives of DO-178B/C for certification on airborne systems. The software engineering intern tasks include the following:

• Learning opportunities with software development for embedded products
• Obtaining direction from a mentee to develop challenging software projects
• Participating in team development
   

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit in a STEM degree by the start of the internship/co-op session.
• Sophomore+ with courses in programming languages, embedded software development or model base design

• Onsite: Employees who are working in onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
