Introduction:

We are looking for a Supply Chain Intern to join our Global Supply Chain (GSC) team based in Penang. This role provides accelerated training in a fast-paced work environment, cross-functional working opportunities, mentorship, networking, and leadership opportunities. This Intern will build cost models including should-cost, input cost model, supplier performance ratings, etc.  as well as maintaining a database of cost and supply chain related data.

Your Job:

  • Support analysis in the aspect of cost, Business Continuity Plan (BCP), audit and compliance
  • Develop database to host raw material or factor input indices; update and maintain the data in a timely and accurate manner
  • Develop cost models including modeling of wafer processing costs based on changes to Materials or Equipment costs
  • Provide support on supplier profiling, supplier ratings, supplier relationship management activities, and driving actions
  • Work on other projects and/or assignments as needed based on aligned timelines and deliverables

Other Responsibilities: 

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – individual pursuing Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business management, supply chain or related field from an accredited degree program
  • Good academic standing – at least 3.0 GPA and above
  • Fluency in English Language – written & verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior internship or co-op experience in a related domain will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and strong planning & organization skills in school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
