The engineering team is dedicated to designing and executing solutions that improve business and reduce risks. This includes sustaining our existing assets, advancing sustainable technologies and outfitting our assets to support new business opportunities. Odfjell culture is built on curiosity, collaboration, and the belief that great ideas can come from anywhere, including our interns.Interns will contribute directly to the project teams through hands-on experience working alongside engineering, maintenance and operations personnel to see how some real engineering challenges are addressed
Provide technical engineering support to engineering personnel and other departments within the US terminals organization.
- Assist Operations, Maintenance, other engineers, managers, and colleagues with finding technical solutions to identified issues.
- Act as an internal resource to the project engineering group and make suggestions on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.
- Conduct engineering assessment or safety site inspection of projects being executed on site.
- Support the development/updating of engineering standards and specifications.
- Support the review/updating of engineering drawings to International Society of Automation (ISA), and Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers eg. P&ID’s, isometrics, one-lines
- Support engineering studies such as Arc Flash and Load Analysis
- Support maintenance in troubleshooting and repairs
- Support the review of PLC coding and HMI development
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Currently pursuing a BS degree in the related engineering field.
- Take initiative, is a great communicator, very energetic, good listener, has common sense, and works well within a team environment.
