Title: Finance Intern

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Support

  • Assist in preparing monthly management reports, variance analysis, and performance dashboards.
  • Support data collection, validation, and consolidation for budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.
  • Maintain and update data in financial tools and templates (Excel, Anaplan, Hyperion).
  • Help prepare presentation slides for SEA leadership meetings and financial reviews.
  • Perform master data maintenance and ensure data accuracy.

2. Reporting & Accounting Assistance

  • Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including journal templates, accrual tracking, and reconciliations.

 
3. Business Partnering Exposure

  • Support ad-hoc analysis on sales performance, operating expenses trends, and cost efficiency.
  • Participate in meetings with finance business partners to observe how financial insights support decision-making.

4. Process Improvement Initiatives

  • Collaborate with Country Finance Managers (both FP&A and F&A) to understand current process and improvement area.
  • Document key finance processes and assist in identifying simplification and standardization opportunities.
  • Support automation or template optimization projects to enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Learn and apply new tools (e.g., Power BI, ChatGPT) to deliver real-time insights through interactive dashboards and reports.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with process mapping tools such as Miro Software is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable working both independently and in a team environment.
  • Interest in learning new techniques (e.g., Power BI, ChatGPT) to enhance reporting and analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English
