Job Title: AI Engineering Intern – Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Location: Virtual

Duration: Fall 2026 – 8 Months (September 2026 – April 2027)

Availability: *Full-time availability of 37.5 – 40 hours weekly is required to be eligible for this opportunity.

About the opportunity:

We’re looking for an AI Engineering Intern to help us build and execute high-impact AI use cases. This role sits at the intersection of AI engineering, product development, and forward-deployed engineering - taking real business problems, rapidly prototyping solutions, and turning the best ideas into working AI-powered experiences.

What you’ll get to do:

• Build and prototype AI/LLM-powered applications, agents, and workflows against real-world use cases.
• Work closely with product, engineering, architects, and business teams to translate ambiguous problems into practical AI solutions.
• Experiment with LLMs, agentic architectures, RAG, tool use, evaluation frameworks, and emerging AI technologies.
• Integrate AI solutions with existing products, APIs, data, and enterprise systems.
• Evaluate prototypes for quality, reliability, performance, and business impact, and iterate quickly based on results.
• Help take successful experiments from prototype to production and learn what it takes to deploy AI at enterprise scale.

Skills and experience we value:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals; experience with Python, TypeScript and building applications/APIs.
• Hands-on experience experimenting with LLMs, AI agents, RAG, or generative AI applications.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where problems may initially be loosely defined.
• Strong builder mindset - you enjoy shipping, testing, learning, and iterating, not just researching.
• Curiosity about how AI can solve meaningful business and product problems.

What would really make you stand out:

• Experience with modern AI frameworks, cloud platforms, vector databases, evaluation/observability tools, or deploying AI applications into production.
