About the Role


Data Engineering Intern

About the Role:

The Data Engineering Intern will support TSS's Data Modernization efforts while gaining hands-on experience with data engineering, automation, and AI technologies. This role will work with the technology team to help organize, move, test, and prepare data for reporting and analytics. The intern may also support RackIQ projects involving AI and computer vision.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Basic knowledge of Python and SQL.

  • Basic understanding of databases and data concepts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Willingness to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with data engineering or data analytics.

  • Exposure to tools such as dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or similar technologies.

  • Basic knowledge of AI, machine learning, or computer vision.

  • Experience with Python-based projects or automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with building and maintaining data pipelines.

  • Help collect and organize data from different systems and sources.

  • Support data transformation, testing, and quality checks.

  • Assist with preparing reliable data for reporting and analytics.

  • Help document data processes and workflows.

  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive data tasks.

  • Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines.

  • Support AI and computer vision projects related to RackIQ.

  • Collaborate with team members on Data Modernization projects.

  • Complete other related projects and assignments as needed.

Skills:

The ideal candidate will have basic technical and programming skills, an interest in data engineering and AI, and a willingness to learn. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills will help the intern successfully contribute to TSS's Data Modernization initiatives while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
