As a Cyber Security Intern within DTCC's Cyber Security Risk Office (CSRO), you will help support initiatives that strengthen the organization's cyber security, risk management, governance, and resilience efforts. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will contribute to projects and activities that help identify, assess, communicate, and manage cyber security risks while supporting a strong security culture across the enterprise.
In this role, you will collaborate with technology, security, risk, and business stakeholders to gain insight into how cyber security programs operate within a global financial services organization. Your work will help support DTCC's mission of safeguarding critical infrastructure that underpins the global financial markets.
At DTCC, interns contribute to meaningful work while learning how the financial markets operate behind the scenes. You will be part of a structured summer experience that combines team-based project work, training, feedback, mentorship, and opportunities to connect with leaders and peers.
About the Summer Internship Program
The Summer Internship Program is a 10-week experience designed to build a strong foundation for early-career talent. The program includes orientation, training, manager engagement, feedback milestones, networking, and development experiences that help students explore potential full-time career paths, including EDGE where applicable.

What you will do
Role Responsibilities
Support cyber security, risk management, governance, and awareness initiatives across a variety of programs and projects.
Assist with gathering, analyzing, and reporting on information, metrics, documentation, and other materials that support cyber security activities.
Collaborate with technology, security, risk, and business stakeholders to support ongoing initiatives, business objectives, and program deliverables.
Research emerging cyber security risks, trends, technologies, and industry practices, and help document findings, observations, and recommendations.
Contribute to reporting, presentations, communications, and process improvement efforts that support program oversight, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making.
What will help you succeed
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in cyber security, management information systems, risk management, or a related field.
Expected graduation date: Spring 2028
Minimum GPA: 3.2
Authorization to work permanently in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
Interest in cyber security or technology risk, demonstrated through coursework, projects, or experience.
Preferred
Coursework, projects, prior work, internship, student organization, volunteer, or leadership experience related to the role.
Interest in financial services, technology, operations, risk, data, business, or the specific business area.
Exposure to control frameworks and familiarity with core IT and security concepts is a plus.

Hybrid work model: 3 days in office and 2 days remote, based on team schedule.
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
