Summary:
The Full Stack Software Engineer Intern is responsible for assisting with the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications that support business operations. Working closely with experienced engineers, the intern will gain exposure to a variety of systems and technologies while contributing to ongoing projects. This practical experience provides the intern with the opportunity to develop a diversified skill set and contribute to innovative solutions that are important to both their professional growth and NAI’s business success.
Requirements
- Assist in the development and maintenance of web applications and APIs.
- Write clean, maintainable code in C# and JavaScript under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support troubleshooting and debugging of software issues.
- Assist with database maintenance tasks.
- Help generate reports and document software performance or project progress.
- Participate in learning and applying new tools or technologies introduced by the team.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to learn about defining project requirements and timelines.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows application
- Candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as either a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), and must be able to provide appropriate documentation upon hire to verify this status. Please note that some positions involve sensitive customer contracts and require U.S. citizenship as a condition of employment.
Preferred Skills
- Coursework, projects, or internship experience with C#/.NET, SQL, JavaScript, Python and HTML/CSS.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Exposure to DevOps tools or database management systems.
- Self-motivated with curiosity and desire to learn new technologies.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React or Angular is a plus.
Work Schedule and Environment
- Monday to Friday, Day Shift
- Discretionary 9/80 Schedule
- Business casual dress code
Full-time schedules for Fall internships. (40 hour week) Approx. Start Date September - End Date December
Internship salary is based on position and academic year standing.
