About the Role

EDP APAC is the main subsidiary of EDP Group, a global leader in the renewable energy sector and one of the world’s largest wind producers. With its headquarters in Singapore, EDP APAC is the leading sustainable development hub for the Asia Pacific region with activities across nine different markets. Responsibilities  

 

  • The Intern will support deal teams with a wide variety of tasks around our M&A activities in APAC in the full deal life cycle
  • Assist drafting of important documents for the analysis and valuation of potential transactions including
    • Prepare financial models and economic cases for investment decisions
    • Challenge valuation inputs and assumptions, propose sensitivities, and identify optimization levers in transactions.
    • Coordination and execution of the due diligence, structuring and negotiation of transaction documentation in potential M&A opportunities.
    • Preparation of strategic analysis projects (e.g. portfolio and country analysis, asset rotation and partnerships).
    • Support the analysis of new projects in terms of economic risk and strategic options and provide reports of findings.
    • Support the preparation of EDPR business plans and impairment analyses, in coordination with other departments

 

Requirements

 

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Excel and PowerPoint proficiency are key, Python knowledge would be a bonus
  • Asian languages such as Mandarin Chinese, Japanese or Vietnamese are welcome but not necessary
