The Role

We're looking for an Engineering Intern to help build AI-powered tools and automations that improve how teams across NymCard work. This role is focused on internal transformation — using software and AI to simplify workflows, connect systems, automate repetitive work, and give teams better access to information and insights.

You'll help turn real business and operational challenges into working solutions — from internal applications and dashboards to AI agents, knowledge systems and workflow automations. This is a highly hands-on role with the opportunity to build and ship quickly, experiment with new AI technologies, and see your work used directly by teams across NymCard.

What You'll Do

- Design and build internal tools, applications, dashboards, AI agents and automations that solve real problems for teams across the business
- Connect systems and data sources to eliminate manual, repetitive work
- Prototype and experiment with new AI models, agent frameworks and LLM tooling, bringing what works into real use
- Build knowledge systems that make information easier to find and act on
- Work closely with the team to scope, ship and iterate on solutions quickly, this isn't a "spec it and wait" internship

What We're Looking For

- A student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Comfortable with modern web development, APIs, databases and Git
- A strong interest in LLMs, AI agents and automation; you keep up with what's new and like trying it yourself
- Personal projects, prototypes or independent builds that show you can ship things on your own; this matters more to us than formal work experience
- Curious, resourceful, and comfortable figuring things out with minimal hand-holding
