Manufacturing Engineering Assistant - GRD 

(CO-OP 4-Month or 8-Month Term)

Price industries Limited is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Assistant CO-OP Student from September to December or September to April within our GRD Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support machine moves, setup, and removal by working with contractors, maintenance, and other teams.
  • Help launch new product updates, including cost analysis and production changes.
  • Take part in projects that improve safety, equipment, and processes, including machine design improvements using Solidworks.
  • Assist with planning and tracking small improvement projects.
  • Help review and document manufacturing processes across different departments and products.
  • Contribute to lean manufacturing efforts (like 5S, waste reduction, and time studies).
  • Support new equipment selection, setup, and commissioning.
  • Create or update job instructions and training materials.
  • Assist with shop floor layout changes using 2D CAD tools.
  • Occasionally help with machinery troubleshooting and testing.
  • Share updates on project progress and challenges.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Enrolled in a Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering/Technology program.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Able to read and create technical drawings.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Interested in manufacturing, automation, or process improvement.
