In this role, you will:
  • Participation in the health and safety programs of EVR to ensure that everyone on site goes home safe and healthy every day.
  • Support the Sustainable Development team and/or Environmental departments through GIS data acquisition, input, mapping and analysis.
  • Develop web maps, field collection tools (using Esri’s Enterprise Portal, Field Maps, and Survey123).
  • Producing visual and high-end cartographic products based on operational needs[RG1.1].
  • Provide GIS analysis functions and automations using Esri’s ArcPro software.
  • Support the maintenance of the site wide GIS system.
  • Assist with contractor support when required[RG2.1].
  • Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business.


Requirements:
  • Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Environmental Sciences with an interest in GIS, Data Analysis, Geography, Geomatics, Natural Resource Science or associated discipline.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas to audiences with varied knowledge of GIS.
  • Motivated self-starters with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Previous work experience in a technical environment is an asset.
  • Experienced in the utilization of all Esri software applications: ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise Portal, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps Survey123.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Familiarity with FME and AutoCAD as well as programming skills in in Python, Arcade, and SQL are an asset.

Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed.
