About the Role

Technology, Cyber & Data Internship Program

Hourly Pay: $28-$37

Job Summary

The Avangrid Internship Program is a 10-week paid summer experience designed to provide meaningful exposure to the energy industry through real-world projects, professional development, and mentorship. Interns contribute to business priorities while building technical and professional skills alongside experienced industry professionals. The program follows a 70-20-10 development model, with 70% of learning gained through hands-on project work, 20% through mentoring, networking, and relationship building, and 10% through formal learning opportunities.

Within the Technology, Cyber & Data Internship Program, interns support initiatives that help power and protect Avangrid's technology ecosystem. Assignments may include technology operations, cybersecurity, data analytics, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, infrastructure services, business analysis, and technology project delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Sophomore or Junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree, or first-year Master's student with at least one semester remaining before graduation.
  • Pursuing a degree in: Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science/Analytics, Related discipline.
  • Demonstrated interest in the applicable field and the energy industry.
  • Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
