Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Co-op student to join our team. This position offers hands-on experience in audit and assurance engagements across various industries. You’ll work closely with senior team members to support client engagements and develop key technical and professional skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is specifically available for UVM GSB students.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in a variety of industries
  • Prepare working papers and document audit and assurance procedures in accordance with firm standards
  • Perform account reconciliations and analytical procedures
  • Conduct research on accounting and tax issues and assist in drafting client correspondence
  • Participate in client meetings and site visits, as needed
  • Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to meet engagement deadlines and deliver high-quality work

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor of Accounting program (3rd or 4th year preferred)
  • Intention to pursue CPA designation is a strong asset
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (ASPE/IFRS and audit/tax concepts)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit and use computers for extended periods of time
  • Ability to provide own transportation for traveling to client assignments
  • This position starts in January and ends at the end of April
