About the Role

Overall Job Summary

Tractor Supply Company is currently hiring for our 2027 Human Resources Summer Internship Program at our Store Support Center located in Brentwood, TN!

 

The Human Resources Summer Internship is an 11-week program designed for students interested in building a career in Human Resources. Interns gain hands-on experience within a specific area of HR while working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to meaningful initiatives that support Team Members across the organization.

 

Throughout the summer, interns will gain exposure to HR programs, processes, and business partnerships while developing a deeper understanding of how Human Resources supports the Team Member experience and overall business objectives. The program provides an opportunity to strengthen communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills while experiencing Tractor Supply's culture and learning how HR supports the nation's largest rural lifestyle retailer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

This posting represents internship opportunities across multiple areas within Human Resources. 

 

HR Analytics Intern 

  • Support the analysis and reporting of HR data, workforce trends, and key metrics to provide insights that inform HR and business decisions.  
  • Partner with HR teams to develop reports and dashboards, improve data accuracy, and support data-driven projects and initiatives. 

 

Compensation and Benefits Intern 

  • Assist the Compensation and Benefits team with day-to-day program administration in support of our Total Rewards  
  • Support ongoing projects by conducting research, preparing materials, and analyzing data related to employee benefits offerings 
  • Partner with HR team members and cross-functional stakeholders to help drive communication and process improvements within benefits programs 

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related fields. 
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.  
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. 
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Demonstrated interest in Human Resources and learning HR practices and processes. 
  • Ability to relocate to the Greater Nashville Area for the duration of the internship.
