This internship opportunity at NESN for the fall semester offers an exciting, hands-on experience supporting some of the network’s original lifestyle programming: Dining Playbook, Meet Boston, and the upcoming program New England Blueprint. As part of the Dining Playbook team, you will gain exposure to various aspects of content production, marketing, sales, and brand storytelling across all three shows. Working closely with the Content Strategist and Brand Partnerships Manager, this person will play a key role in executing and organizing projects that bring New England’s culinary and cultural scenes to life. This position is ideal for someone who is creative, detail oriented, passionate about food and media, and eager to learn the ins and outs of content creation, production workflows, and social media strategy at a leading regional sports and lifestyle network.
This is a part time internship, averaging about 12 hours per week and paying $15/hour.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in scheduling meetings, shoots, and team planning sessions
- Support coordination and execution of events tied to each show
- Capture behind-the-scenes and on-location content for social media
- Create and edit Instagram Reels and other short-form content
- Maintain and organize shared team assets in Google Drive
- Conduct trend research to identify emerging topics in food, dining, and lifestyle for content inspiration
- Collaborate with the strategists and marketing team to brainstorm creative campaign ideas
- Help prepare materials for sponsor segments (one sheets)
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled as a student in a college or university - Marketing, Digital Media, Communications or other related major is preferred
- Ability to capture exceptional content and create highly stylized reels for social channels
- Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
- Reliable personal transportation for local travel to various work sites within the Greater Boston area, is a plus. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and appropriate auto insurance coverage. Mileage reimbursement will be provided in accordance with company policy.
