Essential Functions:

  • Summer paid internship working in one of EMC’s branch claims departments
  • Assists the claims team in the investigation, negotiation and disposition of minor multi-line claims
  • Learns EMC culture, business processes and products
  • Gains an understanding of the insurance claims process

Education & Experience:

  • Business major
  • Completion of junior year preferred
  • Interest in property casualty insurance career
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical ability
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving
  • Attention to detail
  • Good personal computer knowledge
