About The Company
AY is a Saudi integrated digital transformation partner helping ambitious organisations turn complexity into clarity—and clarity into measurable growth. Since 2007, we have supported more than 650 clients and delivered over 2,500 projects across technology, marketing, content, cloud, branding, data and artificial intelligence. Our multidisciplinary team of 54 specialists works as one accountable system, connecting strategy with execution so clients can move faster, reduce fragmentation and build solutions that perform over time. We design and deliver enterprise software, digital platforms, websites, mobile applications, eCommerce systems, cloud architecture, managed infrastructure, cybersecurity, AI integrations, intelligent automation, data analytics, customer-experience solutions, digital marketing, brand systems and high-impact content. Our model is built around one principle: transformation should not create more complexity. It should make the organisation clearer, stronger and easier to scale. That is why we unify business strategy, technology, creativity and operations under one partner, one system and clear accountability. From government and enterprise transformation to automotive, mobility, healthcare, retail, tourism and financial services, AY combines Saudi market intelligence with global standards and long-term operational experience. We understand Arabic-first experiences, institutional requirements, security, scalability and the realities of delivering in complex environments. Our work is guided by authenticity, growth, ease and certainty. We clarify the challenge, connect the right capabilities and build systems that create sustainable value. AY does not simply deliver isolated services. We build integrated digital ecosystems designed around each organisation’s goals, users and future. We make growth simple.
About the Role

Role objective

Learn professional B2B business development by researching markets, identifying relevant organisations and stakeholders, preparing high-quality outreach and discovery, maintaining CRM discipline, and understanding how qualified opportunities become commercial value.

What you will work on

  • Research target sectors, companies, decision-makers, business signals and potential needs relevant to AY capabilities.
  • Build and maintain accurate prospect and account information in CRM.
  • Support account mapping, outreach preparation, follow-ups, discovery preparation, meeting notes and opportunity documentation.
  • Learn how to qualify opportunities based on business need, stakeholders, timing, decision process, commercial viability and fit.
  • Support proposal preparation by connecting client needs to relevant AY capabilities and evidence.
  • Observe and progressively participate in B2B meetings, negotiations, pipeline reviews and forecast discussions.
  • Track activity quality and progression rather than treating message volume or meetings alone as success.

What you should learn

  • How enterprise buyers make decisions and why discovery comes before proposals.
  • How pipeline mathematics, qualification, forecasting, CRM, negotiation and account strategy fit together.
  • How to research a company deeply enough to create a relevant commercial conversation.
  • How professional selling creates value by understanding problems, not by pushing predefined packages.

Who should apply

  • Student in business, marketing, sales, MIS, economics, finance, entrepreneurship or a related discipline.
  • Comfortable speaking with people, but equally willing to research, listen, document and follow process.
  • Commercial curiosity, resilience, numeracy and clear communication are important.
  • Interest in technology, digital transformation, marketing, cloud, cybersecurity, data, AI or professional services is an advantage.

What strong performance looks like

  • Research is accurate and useful.
  • Communications are relevant rather than generic.
  • CRM information is disciplined and complete.
  • Shows curiosity about the client business and learns from rejection or feedback.

Common eligibility

  • Current university or college student eligible for a formal cooperative training (COOP) placement.
  • Able to provide the university COOP letter and complete the required training period.
  • Available to work from Jeddah according to the programme schedule and AY work requirements.
  • Comfortable receiving direct feedback, revising work, and learning unfamiliar tools or subjects.
  • Professional Arabic and/or English communication appropriate to the selected role.
  • Previous professional experience is not required. Evidence of initiative, projects, coursework, self-learning, clubs, competitions, volunteering or personal work is valuable.

How we select

We do not reject a trainee simply for lacking a specific commercial tool. We separate quickly teachable tool knowledge from harder-to-teach traits such as reasoning, integrity, learning velocity, ownership, curiosity, discipline and communication. AY does not expect a trainee to arrive as an expert; it does expect visible improvement, preparation and responsiveness to feedback.

Assessment

Every applicant completes the AY COOP Common Potential Assessment (15 questions, 50% of the score) and then the role module for the position applied to (8 questions, 50%). The assessment evaluates potential rather than years of experience: reasoning, learning agility, ownership, ethics, communication and data sense, plus role fundamentals and applied judgment.

About the programme

COOP at AY is designed to identify and accelerate high-potential people, not simply to provide observation hours. Trainees learn by solving real problems, working within clear standards, receiving frequent feedback, and producing useful outcomes under supervision. Our principles: Bayan (clarity), Al-Asl (authenticity), An-Nama (growth), Al-Yusr wal-Yaqin (ease and certainty), and one system, one accountability.
