About the Role

Job Description:

 In order to support our operations team, Airbus Operations is looking for an

Intern (d/f/m) for Business Management Support 

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and motivated Business Management Support Intern (d/f/m) to join our operations team. In this role, you will work closely with Airframe Project Managers (APMs) & Offer Managers (OMs), to support project definition, milestone execution, offer management, and financial tracking. This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate project management frameworks, financial planning (DBF), and operational execution.

  • Location: Hamburg

  • Start: as soon as possible

  • Duration: 6 to 9 months (this will be a combination of a mandatory internship of 6 months and a voluntary internship of 3 months as a maximum)

Your location:  Hamburg Finkenwerder 

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Are you wondering how you actually get from university to Airbus? Your working student position is at the Finkenwerder plant and you can take the ferry from Teufelsbrück to the Airbus ferry terminal and back to the university in the morning and at noon. Alternatively, you can take the ferry to Finkenwerder and then ride your bike for about another 15 minutes to the main entrance.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Business & Project Management Support:

  • Support Airframe Project Managers (APMs) in defining project scopes, objectives, and deliverables with sufficient detail.
  • Track project progress against established timelines and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist APMs in planning, coordinating, and executing uPDP milestones.

Offer Management & Administrative Support:

  • Collaborate with Offer Managers (OMs) to gather, organize, and validate inputs required for commercial offers.
  • Perform administrative tracking of new offer inflow requests to ensure timely processing and routing.
  • Maintain central records and dashboards for incoming business inquiries and project proposals.

Financial & Performance Tracking:

  • Support the Upgrade team in establishing and monitoring project-level financial trackers.
  • Monitor budget vs. actuals, variance analysis, and expenditure trends across active projects.
  • Maintain alignment between project-level financial tracking .

 Desired skills and qualifications

  • Enrolled full-time student d/f/m) in the area of Business Administration, Business Management, Project Management, Finance, Industrial Engineering,  or an equivalent field of study.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  •  Proficiency in Google tools (sheets, slides, docs)
  • Advanced Google sheets skills (data organization, lookup formulas, basic financial modeling) preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management tools or ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
