About the Role

ReOrbit is looking for a proactive Procurement Intern, for an initial 6-month period, to support our growing team and help keep our supply chain operations running smoothly.

As our Procurement Intern, you will play a hands-on role in supporting purchasing activities, improving processes, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure we have the right materials, services, and suppliers at the right time. You will report directly to the VP of Procurement, gaining exposure to supply chain strategy and decision-making in a fast-paced space company.

Responsibilities

  • Help create and manage low-dollar, low-risk indirect materials in the purchasing system

  • Opportunities to execute low-risk flight hardware purchases and learn about Space Industry procurement

  • Create purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to support day-to-day purchasing activities

  • Monitor orders and follow up on late or missing deliveries.

  • Assist the Supply Chain team with basic reporting, organization, and process improvements

  • Identify and support simple process improvements to make purchasing activities more efficient and organized

Skills and Requirements

  • Recent graduate or currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field

  • Availability to work full-time

  • Experience with Excel, Jira ticketing process, and simplified ERP-use is a plus

  • Familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) is a plus
