About The Company
Founded in 1956, Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is the premier specialty retailer of high-quality products for the home. Our family of brands includes Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn Teen, West Elm, Williams-Sonoma Home, Rejuvenation, Mark & Graham, GreenRow, and Dormify. These brands are among the best known and most respected in the industry. We offer beautifully-designed, stylish and functional products for every area of the home, including the kitchen, living room, bedroom, home office, closet, laundry room, and even outdoor spaces. We've seen some big changes since our first brick-and-mortar store opened more than half of a century ago. What hasn't changed is our passion for high-quality products, functional design, outstanding customer service, and enhancing the lives of our customers and the communities where we operate. Today, we're a multi-brand, multi-channel, global enterprise supported by state-of-the-art technology and some of the most talented teams in retailing - and we're always looking for new energy and ideas.
About the Role

We designed our program to be a game-changing first step in kicking off your career journey. We're looking for the next generation of inventory planners who are agile and innovative. During this 10-week program, you'll develop your skills alongside a team of supportive mentors and inspiring leaders.

Our inventory team ensures that the right products are available for the customer. As an intern, you'll work closely with a team for a specific category (ex: furniture, tabletop, bath, etc) to get behind the scenes insight on how they use forecasting tools to optimize inventory flow, drive margin, and support top-line sales. You'll use that information to identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve future inventory needs.

ABOUT YOU

  • You think strategically and critically to solve problems
  • Have Excel experience: vlooks-ups, pivot tables, etc…
  • Currently in your junior year of an undergraduate program
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Able to work onsite at Rejuvenation in Portland
  • Know how to prioritize and move quickly to react to our ever-changing business

At the end of the program, you are given the opportunity to pioneer a new idea and present it to our executive leadership team. Many of our interns' project proposals have been implemented in new business strategies, as we value the fresh perspective our interns bring to the business.

Of course, we also leave time for a little fun by hosting social and networking opportunities with your fellow interns such as cohort lunches, and social hours.
