Job Description

Scope of Position: To assist in the pursuit of efficiency, operational excellence, and world-class customer service at Expeditors LAX District.

Position Schedule: Flexible weekday schedule (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), totaling approximately 20 hours per week


Major Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Drive Global Business Operations Strategies and Principles to enable world class performance
  • Consume, train, and monitor usage of new processes and technologies
  • Improve operational performance through analytics and observation
  • Support local solutions that improve efficiency and enable visibility in alignment with global standards

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • High School Degree or equivalent required
  • Successful candidates must pass a background check
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must not require future sponsorship for employment visa
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Must have the ability to work overtime in support of the department’s needs
  • Must be able to commute to the city of Hawthorne, CA
  • Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills
  • Comfortable working in a Professional Business Environment

Desired Qualifications:  

  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, and familiarity with PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive in thought and action
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., generative AI, Copilot, or automation tools) to support research, analysis, documentation, or process improvement
  • Experience with technical tools such as basic programming, data analysis, scripting, or automation to support problem-solving and business tasks

The wage for this position is $20.00 per hour.
