Overview

the HR Intern supports the day-to-day HR administration and activities of the site.


Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with personnel file administration, onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Support the administration and follow-up of occupational health visits, probation periods and absences.
  • Maintain HR databases, employee records and HR tracking files.
  • Assist with training administration, mandatory certifications and skills matrix updates.
  • Support HR communications and the update of mandatory workplace postings.
  • Provide administrative support to employees and assist with their HR-related requests.
  • Provide first-level support on Workday.
  • Support HR projects and provide administrative assistance to Management.
  • Ensure proper filing, archiving and maintenance of HR documentation.

Experience

  • Previous experience in HR, administration or personnel management is a plus.
  • Degree or ongoing studies in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Interest in HR administration and working in an industrial environment.
  • Good command of English is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented approach.
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential HR information.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Comfortable with IT tools and able to quickly learn new systems, including Workday.
  • Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
  • Utmost respect for confidentiality and discretion.
