About the Role

This internship will follow an in-person model. Interns will be based at the Stellantis Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and are expected to work on-site 5 days per week, depending on business needs. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates who meet specific eligibility criteria. The internship program is scheduled to run from May through August 2027.

  • Designing, developing, and validating cutting-edge vehicle systems and components 
  • Delivering world-class Body, Interior, and Chassis performance

As a PDT Summer intern in Vehicle Engineering, you will support one of the following areas: 

  • Structures, Safety & Quality 
  • Chassis & Dynamics 
  • Interior, Mechatronics, & NVH 
  • Vehicle Performance  
  • Development Performance & Regulation

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering at an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited program 
  • Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the internship 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications 
  • Willingness to relocate for internship, if applicable 
  • Completion of freshman year or higher at an accredited college or university by the spring of 2027 
  • Authorized to work in the United States 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Major other Engineering degrees from an ABET accredited university programs (Aerospace/Aeronautical, Agricultural, Biomedical/Biomechanical/Bioengineering, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Computer Science, Materials, Mechatronics, Metallurgical, Software) or related field  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various organizational levels and with external partners 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and achieve goals in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proven leadership in academic pursuits, extracurricular activities, or service organizations 
  • Able to drive vehicles; possessing a valid driver’s license
